Here's Absolutely Everything We Love About LGBTQ Fashion

July 12, 2021

The freedom, the aesthetics, the comfort. What’s not to love about the LGBTQ fashion trends in 2021? It’s strange how people assumed in the past that there was a certain way that gay people dressed or a certain style that was some type of signaling gaydar because the greatest trends have never felt the need to conform to the presumed norm. And who better to display iconic fashion trends than the community that doesn’t conform.

Her World | LGBTQ has served the industry with some iconic fashion trends in 2021

That being said, there are some statement outfits that specifically portray the community deliberately enough and proudly. One of them is the pride clothing style that is as colorful as the rainbow in the sky. The rainbow-themed outfits which include bright and colorful sweatshirts, coats and overalls, jackets, and chiffon blouses, all celebrate LGBTQ pride.

Not conforming to any gender, the community also trends androgynous clothes which provide all the freedom in the world to be whatever you want and wear whatever you wish. The attires are very gender fluid and focus on what is most important, which is being able to wear whatever outfit you’re feeling up to at any particular time.

In addition to androgynous clothing, there’s a particular style that started trending among the LGBTQ in 2020 which is the striped monochrome attires. This style appears like a vertical striped outfit with about two colors alternating each other around the fabric. It has a type of uniformity that allows it to seem plain despite the colors it may have. It’s a simple blend, and it’s calming.

The Gender Free World advocates wearing clothes that fit your body regardless of your gender. Even the non-LGBTQ community appreciates being able to dress in any style that fits their personality and body. Freedom when it comes to fashion is a must, after all, they say you are what you wear. It would be one of the most paradoxical things to feel trapped in the clothes you deliberately put on your own body.

It gets even more interesting! Absorbent underwear brand Pantys just launched its first LGBTQ underwear collection. The focus was on periods for trans men who menstruate. Pantys saw the need after observing that all the products for menstruation were made for women and did not take into account that some people who menstruate do not feel comfortable in that style of underwear.

Maria Eduarda Camarg, a co-founder at Pantys,  that the brand celebrates femininity and provides comfort and functionality to people of all genders. The boxers are of great quality, the material has three layers that provide antibacterial, anti-fungal, and absorbent functions. It’s waterproof as well and does not bring any discomfort. Fashion is clearly evolving as we do and it’s great to see.
