Kevin McCarthy – $300K

Kevin McCarthy, the House Minority Leader, is living the high life at his government-assigned Washington house. Outside of the government-owned dwelling, little is known about the Congressman’s home. McCarthy, however, has a property in Bakersfield, California, according to a 2021 publication by Salon.com, a smart tabloid.

The building, which was erected in the late ’80s, is a middle-class dwelling with 1,571 square feet of living space situated a few miles away from his mother’s home. McCarthy allegedly paid $300K for the structure in 1996. It contains three bedrooms and two baths. McCarthy was the frontrunner for the Republican victory of the House at the 2022 mid-term election.

Sarah Palin – $6.2 Million

Sarah Palin, former Alaska governor, and Republican vice presidential candidate, has long been involved with real estate. It should come as no surprise that she has an eye for valuable structures, notably her old Arizona mansion, which was already going through the roof in value as of 2022.

Palin paid $1.695 million for the two-story mansion in 2011. It was well worth the cost for the big pool, six bedrooms, two of which are master suites, and seven bathrooms. Palin sold it for $2.275 million in 2016. However, by 2022, the structure was valued at more than $6.2 million.

Ted Cruz – $1.5 Million

Due to his position as an attorney and a United States senator representing Texas, traveling between cities is the norm for the American politician, Ted Cruz. However, when it comes to picking a home, Cruz is always biased toward Houston, Texas, which is why he settled for his Houston mansion in the River Oaks neighborhood.

As is customary among certain renowned personalities, discretion is crucial; as such, not much is known about the amenities of Cruz’s residence. However, it is public information that he acquired it in 2011 for a value of $1.5 million. As of 2021, according to realtor.com, the value had increased to $2.1 million.

Mitt Romney – $15 Million

Although Utah Senator Mitt Romney owned homes such as the La Jolla mansion, which was famous for its car elevator, he called his Park City, Utah, alpine lodge, home. The mountain-styled structure was built to complement the neighboring Wasatch mountains. The edifice encompasses a living space of 13,000 square feet on approximately 16 acres of land.

With its excellent woodwork and ceiling-high windows, the building is a true depiction of elegance. The structure, designed by Utah architect Fred Babcock in 1991, contains a private ski tunnel, six bedrooms, and eight bathrooms. Romney purchased the building in October 2022 for a cool $11.5 million.

Bill Clinton – $ 1.7 Million

The Clintons have long been White House regulars, particularly with Bill Clinton serving two terms as the 42nd President of the United States. He served from 1993 to 2001, after which he left office with Al Gore as his vice president. The Clintons own properties in Fayetteville, Little Rock, and Chappaqua, among other places.

The Old House Lane, Chappaqua, New York, edifice is an 11-room Dutch colonial home on 1.1 acres of land. The huge swimming pool is one of the residence’s most eye-catching features. In the ’90s, Clinton reportedly spent around $1.7 million on the estate. In 2021, he wrote “The President’s Daughter.”
